The Treasure Coast stretches from Hobe Sound to Sebastian. In the 1700s, several Spanish galleons were shipwrecked in the Martin County area of Florida's Treasure Coast. The multiple wrecks were reportedly the result of a hurricane, and the ships were carrying unknown quantities of gold and silver.
Large treasures and artifacts have been discovered, but it is thought that, to this day, much is still left at the bottom of the ocean off the Treasure Coast!
